Attention Seattle

Attention Seattle readers/writers.  In March, I’ll be in the city in conjunction with Northwest MediaArts to give a reading at University Bookstore on March 12th at 7PM, and a day-long writing workshop at Richard Hugo House from 10-5 on the 14th.  It’s all part of Northwest MediaArts’ Fantastic Fiction Workshops & Salons series.  If you’re interested in the reading, in the workshop, or both, please visit their website for more information.

This will be my first time in Seattle.  Looking forward to seeing the city and meeting cool people.

Love Seattle. Be sure to check out their downtown library- a fascinating building design-wise. I especially like the escalators n the children’s room. There are also a ton of little independent bookstore and a kilt shop. My husband and I took a duck tour, which was a lot of fun, and a great way to see the city, and the underground Seattle tour, a bit disappointing in terms of sites, but lots of worthwile (and entertaining) info about the beginnings of Seattle. Are you getting anywhere else in the Northwest?

Thanks for the recommendations, Meagan! Unfortunately I won’t be getting to see anywhere else. It’s a three days in and out work trip over spring break, then back to work here again.
